General description:
The hotel Peninsula Resort and Spa is especially popular with honeymooners and is situated approx. 200 m from the hotel´s own sandy/shingle/rocky beach. At the beach are sun umbrellas and sun loungers for a fee. The tourist centre is about 25 km away. The town Heraklion is around 23 km away (Agia Pelagia Village around 3 km, Rethymno around 35 km). The nearest shopping facilities are located approx. 25 km from the hotel, a supermarket can be reached after around 300 m. For evening dancing you will find a nightclub in a distance of approx. 300 m. Further entertainment facilities such as a cinema are approx. 20 km away. The following attractions can be reached from the hotel: Knossos Palace (approx. 30 km away), Archeological Museum (approx. 25 km away), RETHYMNO (approx. 60 km away), CHANIA (approx. 120 km away) and CRETA AQUARIUM (approx. 40 km away). For mobility during your holiday, there are a taxi rank (around 10 m away), a bus stop (directly next to the hotel), a car rental company and a motorcycle rental. Partially renovated in 2022, the 5-storey beach hotel has 280 rooms, and spread over one main building and one adjoining building. It offers its guests a reception (check-in from 15:00, check-out until 11:00), a lobby with bar, 3 lifts, air conditioning, a safe (for free), a mini market, discotheque (open from 21:30 - 23:00) and a free parking area. For the meals, there are three restaurants and a snack bar. In a total 4 bars, you can relax in good company. WiFi is available for free. Room cleaning and concierge service are free of charge. Room service, laundry / ironing service and medical service are available for a fee.

Pool:
In the outdoor area of the modern hotel you will find 2 salt / fresh water pools with a children´s pool (open from April to October). Here, there are sun loungers for free available. At the pool bar you can get refreshing beverages (open from 17:00 - 00:00).
